Speech and Language Evaluations

Evaluations include:
- Initial speech and language evaluations
- Speech and language progress assessments

For children birth to three:
Initial evaluations cover the areas of receptive and expressive language, speech articulation, oral motor/mechanism skills, cognition, play, interaction and social language skills. A written report is included. The report indicates the results of the evaluation, a speech and language diagnosis (if indicated), recommendations, and speech and language goals and objectives (if indicated).

Speech and language progress assessments cover the current levels of functioning in the areas of receptive and expressive language and any additional areas of concern. Progress on current goals and objectives would be discussed and recommendations would be made. A written report is included.

Speech and Language Therapy

Individual therapy sessions are typically scheduled for a 60-minute time period, with a frequency of one to two times per week. The frequency of therapy is dependent on the needs of each individual child. Detailed feedback and at-home practice activities are provided at the conclusion of each session.
